Generally, the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is conducted to fill vacancies in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and several other Central Services.
As per the latest data, UPSC generally has around 800-1000 vacancies for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) and around 1000-1200 vacancies for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Examination, Indian Economic Service (IES), Indian Statistical Service (ISS) and Combined Medical Service (CMS) per year.
