Intelligence, in the sense of having a high IQ or cognitive abilities, is not the only requirement for success in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE). While cognitive abilities are certainly important for understanding and solving complex problems, other factors such as hard work, dedication, and perseverance also play a significant role in success.
The UPSC CSE is a highly competitive and difficult exam, and requires a great deal of preparation and study. Candidates must have a good understanding of a wide range of subjects, including Indian politics, economy, history, culture, and international relations.
Additionally, analytical skills and the ability to think critically are also important for success in the UPSC CSE. The exam tests candidates on their ability to understand and analyze complex problems, and to come up with effective solutions.
The CSE also includes a personality test, which assesses the candidate’s suitability for the job. The test examines the candidate’s communication skills, leadership potential, and overall personality.
So, intelligence is not the only requirement for success in UPSC, but it is one of the many factors that are considered in the selection process. Other factors such as hard work, dedication, perseverance, analytical skills, and personality are also important for success in the UPSC CSE.
