Well it is one of the difficult questions as both DU and JNU serve amazing opportunities for students and there is no comparison between these top class universities, but I will try my best to give an overview to my readers. Well it is one of the difficult questions as both DU and JNU serve amazing opportunities for students and there is no comparison between these top class universities, but I will try my best to give an overview to my readers.
DU is more about undergraduate programs and you see wide variety of options available for you to go head with your graduation. Most of the courses in DU are serving undergraduate courses and there are 30 colleges that serve only and only undergrad courses so we can see where the primary focus of the university will go.
While JNU is primarily about post graduate courses only, very limited options are available for undergraduate students here and it does offer any professional course like B.Tech, LLB, LLM etc.
In terms of crowd and atmosphere, JNU is quite better and have being a hub for most post graduate students they are more sensible, welcoming and open minded and have individuality in themselves.
When we talk about expenses it is almost nill in JNU although fees structure of Delhi University is also very nominal, but still when we compare mess, hostel, college fees etc. of both the colleges. Anybody literally anybody can afford the expenses in JNU.
Facilities are more serious in JNU as courses like MPhil, Phd, require serious attention and discipline so you will get cream faculties in JNU.
While in DU, you will get more placement opportunities, more exposure in societies and so you can settle very well even after your graduation. And if you also want to go post graduation then JNU will be a very good option.
