The reviews of Mumbai University are not good and even their standards are going down day by day. Not even a single college of Mumbai University is under the top 10 colleges of India. But local students and others who are pursuing some extra courses from Mumbai are taking admission in Mumbai University. Students generally complain about the management and their ignorance towards the students and even teachers are not serious related to academics and syllabus.
So if you have any other option go for it because Mumbai University is not on such standards that it should be on.
