Reasoning is not an explicit subject in the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Civil Services Examination (CSE) syllabus. However, reasoning skills are tested in various sections of the exam, particularly in the General Studies papers of the Main Examination. The ability to reason and analyze information is an important skill that is valued in the Civil Services.

For example, you will be tested on your ability to analyze data, evaluate arguments, and draw inferences in the General Studies papers of the Main Examination. Additionally, in the UPSC Interview, you will be asked to give your opinions on a variety of topics and will be evaluated on your ability to provide logical and well-reasoned arguments.

In summary, reasoning is not an explicit subject in UPSC syllabus, but reasoning skills are tested in various sections of the exam, particularly in the General Studies papers of the Main Examination and in the UPSC Interview.
