Yes, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a government job. The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE) to select candidates for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and several other Central Services.
The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is considered one of the toughest and most prestigious competitive examinations in India. Successful candidates are appointed as civil servants in the various departments of the Government of India.
