The syllabus for the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Civil Services Examination (CSE) does not change every year, however, the UPSC can make changes to the syllabus from time to time. The changes are usually made to keep the syllabus up-to-date and relevant to current events and issues.
The UPSC releases the official syllabus for the CSE on its website, which includes detailed information about the subjects covered in the Preliminary and Main exam and the optional subjects. The syllabus for the Preliminary and Main exam is divided into two parts: the General Studies Paper and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The General Studies Paper covers a wide range of topics such as Indian polity, governance, international relations, economic and social development, and environmental ecology and biodiversity.
The optional papers are also based on the syllabus prescribed by the UPSC, but candidates can choose their own optional subject. However, it is important to note that the UPSC can make changes to the syllabus at any time and candidates are responsible for staying updated on any changes.
It’s advisable to stay updated with the latest syllabus and any changes made to it and use that as a guide for your preparation.
