Most of the candidates clearing UPSC are usually from arts background although it’s not necessary. But humanities/arts have some social subjects which are quite beneficial in UPSC exams as well.

He should know how to handle tense situations and keep himself calm, he should how to convince and sometime even know how to manipulate others decisions. Your tounge should be polished and you presence of mind should be sharp. You should have the people’s first approach as sometimes you are the last hope for some mistreated employees. There are tons of other things that HRs manage on daily basis so it’s not a easy job but MBA HR as a degree is not that difficult.

Yes, in first year you will have to study accounting, quantitive theories and business management concepts which require basic maths knowledge even if you are going to opt for HR. But this maths is going to be very basic and usually students don't struggle with this.

MBA Marketing from a prestigious college can be a very best choice if you want to be a CEO of the company. People in growth and strategy aspects have high chances to become a CEO. Their decision making power towards the growth and expansion of the company makes them as a good choice for this top most position. MBA in HR and Finance has kind of limited scope to reach that level, atmost you can be a HR Director or a CFO with these degrees (most probably). But from whichever field you are doing your MBA and in whichever field you are working you should be excellent in your skills and work. CEO is not a regular position that can be offered to anyone, the whole company trust, responsibilities and future depends on CEO, he is also the face of company.
