CA is not that hard as people brag about it, only it requires is great consistency by the candidate. The whole program is divided into modules and has a proper pattern so every candidate get enough time to prepare and practice so that every average student can crack it. Students who are either not serious or are not consistent with their schedules face difficulty in cracking CA. It is one of the most prestigious degrees for commerce students and has great scope in India. So if you think you are passionate about your goal and can be consistent with your studies then you can definitely go for it not a very big deal as such.

What is the age limit for CA?

There is no upper age limit for sitting for CA examination, I have seen even 50 years old candidates giving CA attempts so there is no age limit as such. But numbers of attempts are limited to 10 for one specific module, you cannot sit for the same exam more than 10 times.

A Good CA earns between 20-30 Lakhs Per annum, but this package of above 1 crore is for very limited some top popular CAs. CA’s have so many opportunities to work in different fields like Investment, Audits, Bankings, Tax that they can choose where the scope and earnings are high. Those Ca’s who are in partner positions with the Big4 firms are earning in crores and some Ca’s who have big clients like Reliance, Infosys are also meaning in crores already.

Still, there is no proper comparison between the two professions, let us understand the logic

Completing CA Course requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and struggle of 5 plus years, similarly to take admission in the Tier 1 colleges of MBA requires a lot of preparation for their entrance exams (CAT, XAT) the struggle here in MBA is of shorter time span but the competition here to take admission in the top college is also very high. So getting success in both the courses is difficult.

Now when it comes to earnings, the average CA earns around 7-8 Lakh per annum if he is employed for a firm while the earning can go up to 20-22 Lakhs per annum also if he is running his own firm and have a number of clients but that is not possible for all Chartered Accountants.

Similarly, top MBA Colleges offer placement packages of around 28-30 Lakhs per annum but it is not possible for all the students to take admission in tier 1 colleges so they end up taking admission in some average colleges where the package ranges from 6-7 Lakhs per annum.
