If you fail to crack the Common Admission Test (CAT), you will not be eligible for admission to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top business schools in India that use CAT scores as a selection criteria.

However, it’s important to note that failure in an exam does not mean the end of the road, there are many other MBA entrance exams in India, such as XAT, SNAP, NMAT, and MAT, which you can take to get admission in other B-schools.

You can also retake the CAT exam the following year and try again. Failure should be seen as an opportunity to learn from mistakes and improve upon them.

It’s also important to consider other factors such as work experience, academic background, and extracurricular activities when applying to business schools. These factors can weigh heavily in the admissions process, and can help compensate for a lower score on the CAT.

It’s also important to note that an MBA degree is not the only path to a successful career, there are many other paths that you can take. It’s important to explore other options and not put all your eggs in one basket.

It’s also important to not lose hope, and keep working hard towards your goal, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn from your mistakes, you will be able to clear the CAT or any other exams you take in the future.
