    CS Stands for Company Secretary or Corporate Secretary, it is one of the senior positions in any private firm where the main role is to deal with the legal formalities and legal obligation of the firm. CS acts as an advisory person to the directors of the company and works in the administrative department to ensure the firm and its directors are complying with all the legal formalities perfectly.

    It is an around 3 years professional certificate course and you can join it just after your class 12th. The entire course is divided into 3 levels-

    Foundation Programme (8 Months)
    Executive Programme (9 months)
    Professional Programme (10Months)

    You can directly join the executive level after your graduation, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India conducts this distance learning course and exams held twice a year in Dec and June.
