The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a competitive entrance examination used for admission to post-graduate management programs in the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top business schools in India. The test assesses the candidate’s aptitude in various areas such as quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. The scores from the CAT exam are used by participating institutes to shortlist candidates for the next round of selection which includes group discussion, personal interview, and written ability test. The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in all the selection rounds and their past academic record.
