The full marks for JEE Main is 360 marks. The exam is divided into two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses and Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning courses.

Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) is divided into 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section has 30 questions and each question carries 4 marks. So, the total marks for Paper 1 is 360 (3 sections x 30 questions x 4 marks per question)

Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) has three sections: Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing. Mathematics section has 30 questions of 4 marks each, Aptitude section has 50 questions of 2 marks each and drawing section has 2 questions of 50 marks each. So, the total marks for Paper 2 is 392 (30 questions x 4 marks + 50 questions x 2 marks + 2 questions x 50 marks).
