The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are considered to be among the top engineering institutions in the world. However, their ranking can vary depending on the ranking organization and the criteria used.

According to the QS World University Rankings, in 2021, IIT Bombay is ranked at 162nd position in the world and IIT Delhi is ranked at 185th position in the world. Other IITs also in top 500.

According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, in 2021, IIT Bombay is ranked at 301-350th position in the world and IIT Delhi is ranked at 351-400th position in the world. Other IITs also in top 800.

According to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), in 2021, IIT Bombay is ranked at 351-400th position in the world and IIT Delhi is ranked at 401-500th position in the world. Other IITs also in top 800.

It’s important to note that these rankings can change from year to year and depend on the criteria used, so it’s best to refer to the most recent rankings available. Additionally, these ranking are based on the overall performance of the university and not just the engineering programs.

It should also be noted that, while the IITs are very well-regarded institutions, there are many other engineering schools around the world that are also highly ranked and considered to be excellent choices for higher education.
