A very good question I would say, students generally starts grabbing everything from everywhere but before studying for exam we need to know it’s actual requirements and what are the irrelevant things that we can avoid.

These are the list of topics that are almost irrelevant from UPSC point of view-

1- Topics and News related to Bollywood and Entertainment industry.

2- Criminal offences especially very violent and disruptive related to murders and other criminal offences.

3- Luxury topics like Grand Openings and other elite class things.

4- Sports topics are almost irrelevant from UPSC point of view.

5- Only go with popular dates and people, not necessary to learn all history dates and names of Prime Ministers and Presidents of all countries.
